We trace our origins back to 150 years ago, when, as Littlewood Pallonji & Co, we built a giant water reservoir on Malabar hills to serve the needs of the residents of Bombay (now Mumbai), a city on the west coast of India. Over time, we have grown to become the ‘Shapoorji Pallonji Group of Companies’, with annual revenues in excess of US$ 2 billion. Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd (SPCL), our contracting division has contributed in building numerous iconic buildings and structures that dot the architectural landscape of India. In 1970, we became the first Indian construction company to venture into the Middle East, when we were chosen to build the 'Royal Palace for the Sultan of Oman'. Today, we operate in over 9 countries across the Middle-East and Africa. SPCL has grown nearly fourfold in the last five years and has developed new capabilities including ‘Design & Build’ and ‘EPC contracting’.
